Brovary is working on energy efficiency in educational institutions. Facades are being insulated, solar power plants and heat control systems are being installed for more than UAH 73.5 million.

Brovary schools and kindergartens are preparing not only for the new school year but also for the heating season. In particular, they are taking measures to improve energy efficiency. The mayor of Brovary, Ihor Sapozhko, told UNN what kind of work is being done and in which educational institutions it is being carried out.

The mayor of Brovary clarified that the work is ongoing as part of the fulfillment of energy service contracts for the first half of 2024.

"As of the beginning of August, the attic insulation works have already been completed at Kalynka and Dyvosvit kindergartens and Lyceums No. 3 and No. 10. In addition, these two kindergartens and Lyceum No. 3 will also have their facades insulated, heat flow control systems modernized, and 10 kW solar power plants installed.

The Kapitoshka kindergarten has an automatic heat flow control system with a dispatching and remote control system," said Igor Sapozhko.

According to the mayor of Brovary, the total cost of the work on these educational institutions is over UAH 73.5 million.

Ihor Sapozhko also noted that as part of the memorandum signed on August 1, 2024, Kapitoshka kindergarten will receive a grant to install a 35 kW solar power plant.

"We have to do everything in our power to ensure that our children are warm and comfortable in Brovary's schools and kindergartens in winter. We will allocate funds from the city budget and attract grants from international partners to continue implementing energy saving and energy efficiency measures in all educational institutions of the city," added the mayor of Brovary.
