The State Bureau of Investigation conducted searches at the residence of Kyiv City Council deputy Dmytro Belotserkovets in connection with the verification of the origin of cryptocurrency worth $30 million. This was reported to a journalist by UNN sources.

The interlocutor said that the State Bureau of Investigation conducted investigative actions at Belotserkovets' home in connection with the verification of the origin of cryptocurrency worth $30 million.

Context

Earlier, the "Vitaliy Klitschko's Udar  Party" issued a statement stating that yesterday, April 8, representatives of the State Bureau of Investigation in masks broke into the home of Dmytro Belotserkovets, co-chairman of the "UDAR" party faction in the Kyiv City Council, where he lives with his wife and children, as well as the home of his mother, and conducted a search.

The party believes that the authorities are allegedly systematically putting pressure on opposition political forces, violating the rights of local self-government, illegally removing mayors elected by the community through court decisions, and replacing legitimate authorities with military administrations, effectively destroying democracy.

On April 8, the Kyiv City Council failed to dismiss the Deputy Mayor - Secretary of the Kyiv City Council, Volodymyr Bondarenko, who is involved in the case of land corruption in Kyiv as a witness, by secret ballot. However, he himself submitted a letter of resignation, which was supported by the deputies.

Addition

Ukrainian officials in 2024 submitted more than 2.1 thousand declarations with cryptocurrency, which is 2.2 times more than before the full-scale war.
