The Center for Human Rights Warnings warns that a video allegedly from the Ukrainian volunteer TG channel showing the moment of the explosion of a trench candle, which was allegedly handed over to the Ukrainian military by Mykolaiv volunteers, is being circulated online.
The text to the video says that the soldiers almost died, and expresses suspicion that these candles are a "planned action" to harm Ukrainian soldiers.
Having analyzed the video and the source of its dissemination, the Center reports that it is an orchestrated Russian propaganda campaign aimed at discrediting Ukrainian volunteers in the eyes of the public and the military
The Center points out that the Russians understand that the volunteer movement in Ukraine is a powerful component of the fight against the aggressor. Therefore, the enemy is trying to discredit it in every possible way, in particular by spreading edited videos, fake articles and news.
