According to Volodymyr Artyukh, head of the Sumy RMA, "systematic shelling of the territory of Sumy region, unfortunately, continues." "Guided aerial bombs are being used, and there are more of them. Over the last day Sumy, Okhtyrka and Konotop districts have been affected. A powerful air strike by CABs was carried out at night on Krasnopillia. A school, which was one of the best schools in the region, and 15 apartment buildings were damaged. The territory of Okhtyrka district was also hit, in particular, a person was wounded in the village of Khukhra," said the head of the region during the telethon.

The consequences of the enemy attacks were demonstrated by the Main Police Department and the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the region.

In Sumy region, evacuations continue from communities that are subjected to daily enemy shelling. As of today, 39 thousand people have been evacuated, including 7 thousand children. Forced evacuations are being carried out from particularly dangerous settlements. There are 56 children left to be moved to safe areas under the forced evacuation program.
