In the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, he reconnoitered the locations of the Ukrainian troops fighting for Kharkiv. He was most interested in the locations of the firing positions of the air defense systems of the Ukrainian armed forces. the information allowed Russian bombers to strike the city bypassing the air defense.
According to the SBU, on the eve of the liberation of the region, the suspect "laid low" - he suspended contacts with Russian intelligence and almost never left his own house on the outskirts of Kharkiv.

According to the investigation, the enemy agent was a local resident who was recruited by Russian military intelligence before the start of full-scale aggression against Ukraine. His close relative is one of the commanders of the Russian sabotage and reconnaissance unit Irbis, who uses the call sign "Bagira." It was she who was the defendant's "liaison".
Bagira passed on the information she received from her relative to a Russian intelligence officer to plan combat operations on the eastern front.
The SBU investigators served the enemy agent from Kharkiv region a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason).
The attacker is in custody. He faces 15 years in prison with confiscation of property, the SBU said.
