In Kharkiv region, police solved a case of car arson that resulted from hostile relations between a man and his wife's brother.
A 43-year-old man tried to take revenge by burning his brother-in-law's car, but by mistake set fire to a Toyota car belonging to another person. The fire caused significant material damage to the vehicle.
The police opened a criminal proceeding under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional destruction or damage to property). Investigators served the 43-year-old offender a notice of suspicion in committing the crime and chose a custody as a measure of restraint.
