The rector of the Kyiv National University initiated a review of the case of Professor Mykyta Vasylenko because of his statements about “Ukrainian women hungry for sex.” The Ethics Commission may decide to dismiss the professor on December 26.

The rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Volodymyr Bugrov said that the professor of the Institute of Journalism Mykyta Vasylenko could be dismissed from his post because of his words about Ukrainian women “hungry” for sex. This was reported by UNN with reference to Suspilne.

It is noted that the rector condemned Vasylenko's statements, but noted that the professor “gave the interview in his personal time.

The rector has already appealed to the ethics commission, which will be able to assess the professor's behavior around December 26. If it is found to be inappropriate, he will receive a second reprimand and be dismissed in accordance with the Labor Code.

Or the Academic Council of the Institute of Journalism will similarly recognize Professor Vasylenko's activities as inappropriate. Then the contract will be terminated in a few days

According to Suspilne, at the same time, the scandalous professor himself said that the situation surrounding his statements was “the most prepared provocation.”

He recalled that the Academic Council had previously reprimanded him because of a student complaint, but the teacher was retained in his position.
