Power outages caused by blackout and fire at substations in several regions, no power outages planned - Energy Ministry

The Ministry of Energy reported that there will be no scheduled power outages today. Due to technical problems, there were temporary power outages in several regions, but the power supply has been restored.

No power outages are expected in Ukraine today. In Dnipropetrovs'k region, there was a fire at a substation, and household consumers lost power. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy on Wednesday, UNN reports.

Generation and consumption

"There will be no scheduled power outages today," the statement said.

At the same time, Ukrainians were urged to consume electricity sparingly to help power engineers maintain the stability of the power system. This is especially true during peak consumption hours in the morning and evening - from 7:00 to 11:00 and from 17:00 to 22:00.

Networks status

Dnipropetrovs'k region: a fire at a substation caused a power outage for household consumers. The fire has been extinguished.

Cherkasy region: equipment at one of the substations was de-energized, affecting household and industrial consumers. The power supply has been restored.

Rivne region: several substations and household consumers connected to them lost power. The power supply has been restored.

Lviv region: a substation and local industry lost power. The power supply was restored according to the backup scheme.

Emergencies

Eastern region: during the inspection of an overhead line, theft of wires with a total length of more than 15 km was detected. 

Western region: a bomb threat was reported at a power facility. After inspection, no suspicious items were found.

De-energization

Power engineers have restored power to 14,124 consumers affected by the hostilities.

In total, 514 settlements remain without power supply due to the hostilities and technical violations.

Situation at ZNPP

The water level in the cooling pond is 14.81 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant, the Ministry of Energy said.
