In particular, the Council notes that it is observing with increasing concern "the escalation of tensions in relations between Poland and Ukraine, which has been evident in recent weeks and days," and believes that dialogue and cooperation remain the best way to overcome it.
After the start of the full-scale war in February 2022, Polish society and Polish entrepreneurs opened their hearts and homes to millions of refugees. We again demonstrated solidarity at the beginning of 2026, helping our neighbors survive a difficult winter amid the destruction of critical civilian infrastructure. The societies of both countries have grown closer, establishing hundreds of thousands of close and even friendly ties
They noted that "in recent years, entrepreneurs from both countries have built thousands of business ties that contribute to economic growth, job creation, and strengthening the resilience of economies on both sides of the border."
Our economies are more interconnected than ever before. Nearly a million Ukrainian workers and entrepreneurs are an integral part of the Polish economic system, and Poland is now Ukraine's most important trading partner. This capital of trust must not be wasted
For this reason, its members have appealed to the Polish and Ukrainian authorities to take measures to reduce tensions and strengthen economic and institutional cooperation.
We face the unprecedented challenge of rebuilding Ukraine and further integrating our region with the European Union. The success of this process will require close cooperation between the governments, entrepreneurs, and state institutions of both countries. In the current situation, we need responsible leadership, mutual respect, and a focus on what unites us. The common interests of Poland and Ukraine are far greater than the differences that divide us
The Entrepreneurship Council of Poland is ready to support all initiatives that promote dialogue, economic cooperation, and the building of a strong partnership between Poland and Ukraine.
"Cooperation between Poland and Ukraine remains an important element of the economic development and stability of our region. There is no safe and prosperous Europe without a strategic partnership between Poland and Ukraine," the Polish entrepreneurs concluded.
