Enemy troops shelled settlements in Sumy region, killing 2 civilians, injuring 5, damaging 39 households, a multi-storey building, cars, warehouses, pharmacies and a hospital, and opening criminal proceedings over violations of the laws and customs of war.
Russian troops fired 494 times at populated areas of Sumy region yesterday, killing 2 civilians and wounding 5, the Sumy regional police reported on Friday, UNN reports.

According to the police, over the past day, enemy troops again fired at populated areas of Sumy region - a total of 494 attacks were recorded.
"As a result of the attacks, 2 civilians were killed, 5 others were injured, 39 private households, a multi-storey building, 6 private cars, warehouses, pharmacies, and a hospital building were damaged. Civilian infrastructure was also damaged," the police said.
Criminal proceedings were opened over these facts under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Violation of the Laws and Customs of War".
