A training and production laboratory with modern equipment was opened at Nemishayiv College. Food production technology students will be able to practice on a combi steamer and other modern devices.

The college in Nemishayevo, Kyiv region, opened a modern training and production laboratory for Food Production Technologies. It was equipped with a combi oven, refrigerator and freezer, a shock freezer, a Thermomix kitchen robot, and more. Currently, 1676 students are enrolled in the Nemishayiv Specialized College of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences . Those of them who are studying food production technology will be able to practice on the new equipment.

According to Oleksandr Pakholyuk, Director of the MHP-Hromada Charitable Foundation, such a laboratory will become an integral part of the educational process and will give college students a significant advantage when applying for jobs.

Today, it is very important to invest resources in education, to give young people the opportunity to acquire knowledge that will help them to be competitive specialists in the labor market, and, accordingly, to realize themselves with dignity. For the Charitable Foundation, it is important that such specialists stay in Ukraine, build the economy through their contribution to the development of communities in small towns and villages, in particular

- Oleksandr Pakholyuk added.

According to Pavlo Moroz, Director of MHP's Corporate Social Responsibility Department, it is strategically important for MHP to support such projects.

MHP, as a large international business transforming into a culinary company, understands how important it is for graduates of professional educational institutions to be able to work with technology, be skilled and compete.  After all, it is extremely valuable for any employer today to have a university graduate in their team, and one with a wide range of skills. That is why big business, including MHP, is ready to invest in students to ensure that the market is saturated with young and promising employees

- emphasizes Pavlo Moroz.

The Nemishayevsky Vocational College is convinced that the presence of such a laboratory will significantly strengthen the material and technical base of the institution, which was under occupation in 2022 and suffered from the actions of the occupiers. The college's partners,  the MHP-Hromada Charitable Foundation  and MHP, have invested a total of  about UAH 800 thousand in the culinary space.

"Despite everything, we not only continue to work, but try to move forward and create the best opportunities for our students to learn and develop," says Volodymyr Alyokhin, director of the Nemishayiv Vocational College of NUBIP of Ukraine. - "The new culinary laboratory at our college is a real workshop for improving the professionalism of everyone who dreams of working in the field of food production technologies. It is also a vivid example of a public-private partnership that will help strengthen Ukraine's economy.

Vladyslav Sukhanov, a 4th year student at Nemishayiv Vocational College, is studying to become a food production technologist. He was one of the first to try working with the new equipment in the culinary laboratory.

"When I finish my studies, I dream of working as a cheesemaker and developing a unique recipe to make delicious cheeses and dishes from them," Vladyslav admits. - "The new equipment in our culinary laboratory just inspires me to be the best specialist.

During the opening ceremony, Igor Shchavinsky, chef of the MHP Culinary Center, demonstrated to the students how to cook beef tongue sous vide tempura with wood mushrooms. He noted that in a world of rapidly developing digital technologies, today's students should not only have an understanding of the modern culinary world, but also know how it all works in practice.
