The Pentagon conducted exercises in the US simulating a massive drone attack modeled on combat operations in Ukraine, after which it revised its strategy to counter such threats. This is reported by Defense One, writes UNN.

The exercises took place at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. During them, special operations units simulated an attack by drones of various types, including those resistant to jamming and radars.
According to Brigadier General Matt Ross, such trainings helped identify new priorities in the fight against drones.

The Pentagon states that the data obtained during the exercises has already influenced the approach to equipment procurement and planning the defense of facilities.
Strategy Change
Among the key changes is the creation of a unified drone tracking system that enables data sharing between different units and facilities. Emphasis is also placed on developing cheaper means of intercepting small drones instead of using expensive missiles.
Special attention is paid to the threat of long-range drones that can strike critical infrastructure.
