Ukrzaliznytsia noted that with the increase in passenger traffic, the number of requests for lost items has also significantly risen.

"With the start of the peak season, the number of reports of lost items has exceeded 100 per day. Contact center operators and train chiefs do not have time to step out of the role of detective-searchers," the company reported.

According to the carrier, passengers have recently left quite unusual items in the cars. Among them are a wooden staff adorned with a crystal, mustache wax, a coat for a bulldog, a diamond-studded collar, and a Victoria's Secret bodysuit.

At the same time, passengers most often forget headphones and their charging cases, glasses, wallets, keys, and documents.

Separately, Ukrzaliznytsia noted that employees pay the most attention to searching for children's toys.

"Over six months of this year, we have returned 52 toys. Among them are a capybara and Stitch, a black panther Bagheera and a white alpaca, a fire truck and a dinosaur. Yes, we know the name of each toy, as it is an important element for the search," the company said.

In total, from January to the end of June, Ukrzaliznytsia employees returned over 3,200 lost items to passengers.

The company urged passengers to check their seats more carefully before leaving the train, and in case of loss, to use the online lost baggage search service on the official website of Ukrzaliznytsia.
