The Minister said that over the past two years, more than 20 thousand people have been registered in Ukraine, including both civilians and military personnel. In Ukraine, there are about 80 enterprises for the manufacture of prostheses, which is twice as many as before the full-scale invasion. They produce about 2,000 lower limb prostheses per month and about 200 upper limb prostheses per month, and production will continue to increase. At At the same time, there are already queues of applicants to some companies, and the manufacturers can be found online through a specially designed dashboard.
According to her, funding for prosthetic programs is increasing funding for prosthetics programs: if this year about 3 billion hryvnias were allocated for these needs UAH 3 billion was allocated this year, the next year 4.5 billion is envisaged. For the affected civilians, the cost of lower limb prostheses is 300 thousand hryvnias, and for upper limbs - 600 thousand hryvnias. For the military, this cost increases significantly and and amounts to about 1 million hryvnias for a lower limb prosthesis and 1.5 million hryvnias for the upper limb. In addition, the military who took part in combat operations can take advantage of the program to receive a prosthesis of higher quality, where the cost prosthesis reaches UAH 2 million.
At the same time, charitable foundations continue to work, raising money for prosthetics for the military and purchase foreign prostheses of even higher quality.

She said, that social workers accompany people who need prosthetics and help them to choose a particular enterprise depending on their needs. At the same time, the team of therapists working with the person recommends what kind of prosthesis is needed.
She also also said that in the largest healthcare facilities where the rehabilitation of the wounded, social workers will be employed. In the short term the number of such institutions will be about 100.
