Vyacheslav Zinchenko, an 18-year-old resident of Dnipro, has been identified as a suspect in the murder of Irina Farion. He subscribed to far-right publics and posted anti-Semitic comments on social media.

The Osinte analysts have identified the person whom the prosecutor's office suspects of the murder of Irina Farion and claim that it is an 18-year-old resident of Dnipro, Vyacheslav Fedorovich Zinchenko. This was reported by the Osinte department of the Toronto Television telegram channel, UNN writes.

The report, citing open sources, states that Vyacheslav Zinchenko was born on April 3, 2006. He studied at Dnipro Gymnasium #62. He also played in the U-19 football team of the MDUSSH.  In the 2023/2024 season, he played 3 matches for the team.

In January of this year, an account allegedly run by Vyacheslav Zinchenko mentioned the Russian neo-Nazi group NS/WP (National-Socialism/White Power), which claimed responsibility for the murder of Irina Farion.

The public notes that the video, titled "Manifesto of a Ukrainian autonomous revolutionary racist," contains phrases that are similar in meaning to the comments left on Vyacheslav Zinchenko's account.

On July 25, an 18-year-old man was detained in the city of Dnipro, allegedly involved in the premeditated murder of Iryna Farion. According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, law enforcement officers have enough evidence to claim that it was the 18-year-old who was detained in Dnipro who shot at linguist Iryna Farion. According to him, the investigation lasted 139 hours.

On July 24, one of the russian telegram channels published information that a representative of the neo-Nazi movement NS/WP (National-Socialism/White Power) in Russia claimed responsibility for the murder of Irina Farion.

Irina Farion was shot with a gun near her house. The bullet hit her in the temple, and soon afterwards Iryna Farion died in the hospital. She was buried in Lviv at the Lychakiv cemetery.
