Changes in the organization of food in the Ukrainian army should be assessed by the servicemen themselves, says expert Oleh Zhdanov.

In order to draw the first conclusions about the changes in the catering system of the Ukrainian army and the quality of the products that began to be delivered last week, it is necessary to wait for the feedback from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This opinion was voiced by military expert Oleh Zhdanov in an exclusive commentary to UNN.

"We can draw the first conclusions when the food is delivered to our military. Let's wait and hear from them what they eat and how good the food is," Zhdanov said.

As for the information that companies that had previously supplied food to the Armed Forces are now trying to put pressure on new players in the market, Zhdanov said that this is exclusively the responsibility of law enforcement agencies.

"Law enforcement agencies must check this information for a criminal offense, and if there is no such thing, then a dispute in court is an absolutely normal global practice. Someone defends their rights, someone defends themselves, and someone attacks. This is how business is built all over the world, if it is open and transparent. If there is a crime, then yes, law enforcement should take all measures, use all means to stop it, or prevent it, or punish the perpetrators if it has been committed. So let the law enforcement agencies watch over this," the military expert said.

He added that various information attacks and the war of compromising materials around tenders, supply of various goods for the Armed Forces and the State Logistics Operator will continue 100%.

Context

Last week , food supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine began under the first contracts signed by the State Logistics Operator, with 300 trucks heading to military units across Ukraine.

According to Yakym Kovalenko, director of supply management at the DOT, in an exclusive comment to UNN , they are receiving some information that companies that used to supply the Armed Forces with food are trying to put pressure on new suppliers.

"We receive signals of attempts to put pressure on new suppliers and manufacturers who supply their products as subcontractors. Mostly, it is intimidation to close the possibility of supplying the Armed Forces for them when the old companies "resume supply". Unfortunately, we also receive signals from the heads of food services regarding an exclusive list of producers from whom goods may be accepted by a military unit," Kovalenko said.
