During the Russian occupation of Kherson, about 23,000 exhibits and some technical equipment were stolen from the Kherson Museum of Local Lore. Currently, Ukrainian experts are addressing the issue of evacuating the museum collection and storing museum objects in storage facilities in other regions of Ukraine.
In Kherson, the museum collection is being evacuated and museum items are being transferred to storage facilities in other regions. At the same time, it has been found that during the occupation, Russian invaders stole about 23,000 artifacts and some technical equipment.

The Kherson administration reported on a number of issues that were discussed with Minister of Culture Rostyslav Karandieiev during his visit to Kherson.
Attention was drawn to the issue of creating shelters in the city's cultural institutions, as there are currently no state subventions to support culture. According to Karandeyev, ICIP will help to equip a shelter-hub in Kherson to ensure the artistic and educational process, using external funds.
