Kyiv • UNN
The occupation authorities have not paid salaries to the employees of the Berdiansk port for three months. The port is almost non-functional and is used only for the export of looted grain.
In the temporarily occupied territories, workers of the Berdiansk port have been without salaries for three months. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Center for National Resistance.
Details
This situation illustrates the deep humanitarian crisis created by the Russian occupation administration.
The Russians have almost completely shut down the ports of Berdiansk and Mariupol. Instead of functioning normally, they are used to export looted grain. However, the volume of transportation has dropped significantly: while before 2022 it was millions of tons, now it is measured in hundreds of thousands of tons.
The occupiers are destroying the region's economy, leaving people without livelihoods and prospects. The Kremlin's propaganda statements about “improvements” contradict the real situation, in which residents are being held hostage to a social catastrophe.
The National Resistance Center calls for reporting the crimes of the occupiers so that the perpetrators can be brought to justice.
