Zelenskyy emphasized Russia's systematic work to recruit Chinese citizens for the war in Ukraine. The SBU is conducting procedural actions with prisoners in Donetsk region.

The Security Service of Ukraine continues to clarify all the circumstances of the involvement of Chinese citizens in the Russian army. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, emphasized that it is obvious that these are not isolated cases, but systematic Russian work, in particular, on the territory and under the jurisdiction of China, to recruit citizens of this country for the war, UNN reports.
We continue to clarify all the circumstances of the involvement of Chinese citizens in the Russian occupation contingent. The Security Service of Ukraine is carrying out the necessary procedural actions with the prisoners who were captured recently in the Donetsk region
He noted that all information regarding the participation of other such persons in Russia's actions against Ukraine is currently being studied.
It is obvious that these are not isolated cases, but systematic Russian work, in particular, on the territory and under the jurisdiction of China, to recruit citizens of this country for the war. Everything necessary must be done so that Russia does not have such and similar opportunities to prolong and expand the war
The head of state also posted a video of the interrogation of prisoners by SBU officers. In particular, one of them said that the unit in which he was stationed was commanded by a Russian. He said he lost his weapon when his unit was attacked by a drone.
According to him, he is treated better in Ukrainian captivity than in Russia, and he is fed better than in the Russian army. In addition, he said that he does not want to return to Russia and would like to return to China.
