Russia can equip not only the X-101, but also other types of missiles, such as the X-59 and 9M723, with cluster munitions. Cluster munitions are shaped like bullets or cylinders and can cause significant damage over a large area.

For strikes on Ukraine, Russians can equip not only X-101 but also other types of missiles with cluster munitions. This was reported by Defence Express, according to UNN.

In particular, it is said that the cluster warhead is used in X-59 guided missiles.

The publication also notes that the 9M723 missile from the Iskander missile system is being manufactured in cluster warheads. There is also information about plans to create a cluster warhead for X-32 missiles.

Defence Express emphasizes that for these types of missiles, cluster submunitions are made in the form of spheres or cylinders, and may additionally have parachutes or tapes for stabilization.

Recall

In one of Kyiv's forest parks, 60 unexploded cluster submunitions were found at the site of an enemy X-101 cruise missile crash .

Experts from the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise saidthat previous models of X-101 missiles have a warhead of the high-explosive type.

The X-101 cluster warhead visually looks like metal spheres or truncated cylinders about 10 centimeters in diameter, each containing an explosive. Even if the missile is shot down, such submunitions can cause damage and significant casualties over a large area.
