EU countries have not yet reached an agreement on the deployment of military instructors in Ukraine. The EUMAM Ukraine mission will continue training 75,000 Ukrainian troops outside Ukraine until winter 2024/2025.

There is still no consensus among the members of the European Union on sending instructors to Ukraine to train the Ukrainian military. This was stated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell during a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, UNN reports.

"Regarding the training mission that will operate on Ukrainian territory. There is no consensus of the participating states yet to make this happen," Borrell said.

He noted that this does not prevent the EU military assistance mission to Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine) from continuing its work. The mission will bring the total number of trained Ukrainian military to 75,000 by the end of winter 2024/2025.
