The unified register of missing persons under special circumstances includes 53860 people. Since September 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been responsible for searching for such persons, including civilians, military personnel, and children.

As of today, the unified register of missing persons under special circumstances includes more than 53 thousand people. Deputy Interior Minister Leonid Tymchenko said this during a telethon, UNN reports.

"As of today, there are 53860 people who are considered missing under special circumstances. These are both civilians and military, and there are even children among them. Starting from September 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has defined and vested the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the authority to search for persons missing under special circumstances," Tymchenko said.
