Kyiv • UNN
In the Dnipropetrovs'k region, more than 42 km of anti-tank ditches were dug and more than 11,000 concrete pyramids were installed, as well as crushed stone foundations and reinforced concrete structures for firing points and dugouts.
More than 42 km of anti-tank ditches have been dug in the Dnipro region. The number of tetrahedrons - special concrete pyramids - is also increasing, with more than 11,000 already installed, said the head of the Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reports UNN.
"We are strengthening defense in Dnipropetrovs'k region. We are working in several areas simultaneously. Dozens of vehicles and specialists are involved. We are creating crushed stone foundations at the sites of future firing points and dugouts. Reinforced concrete structures are widely used. Now they are being waterproofed to protect them from the negative effects of rain and wastewater, fumes, etc.", - wrote Lysak.
According to him, such structures should serve well, hold the defense firmly and reliably, ensuring the protection of the military.
"Everything is as envisaged by the Ministry of Defense projects. We have also dug more than 42 km of anti-tank ditches. We are also increasing the number of tetrahedrons - special concrete pyramids, of which more than 11 thousand have already been installed," Lysak said.
He also noted that fortifications are being built in other regions as well.
"This is a requirement of our realities. This is the protection of Ukrainians from the enemy army, from the occupiers," he added.
