More than 400 settlements are partially left without electricity due to Russian shelling, no shortage of electricity - Ministry of Energy

More than 400 Ukrainian settlements are partially de-energized due to Russian shelling and technical problems, but the Ministry of Energy confirms that there is no shortage of electricity and the power system remains stable.

As a result of hostilities and technical reasons, 423 settlements remain without electricity and partially without it.  All cities and towns that were cut off due to bad weather have been powered. There is no shortage of electricity, no restrictions in any of the regions. UNN reports this with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

The situation in the power system is stable. There is no deficit. Electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to cover the needs of consumers

It is noted that one unit of the TPP was taken out of operation for short-term emergency repairs. At the same time, two units that were out of service the previous day were returned to operation.

The Ministry of Energy noted that all power outages are related to the hostilities and technical reasons.

Power outages

All settlements that were cut off due to the bad weather have been restored.

In Donetsk region 117 settlements remain without power supply due to shelling by Russian Federation . A mine in the region was de-energized as a result of the fighting.

Also at night, Russians shelled a thermal power plant in the frontline region three times - equipment was damaged, the plant remains in operation.

In Zaporizhzhya region, 63 settlements - about 26 thousand consumers - are without electricity due to shelling. Also, 1.5 thousand subscribers are without electricity for technical reasons.

In Sumy and Chernihiv regions, 71 settlements are without electricity as a result of the hostilities.

Also in Kharkiv region, 1,400 consumers were cut off from electricity due to the fighting. Inspection of the networks damaged by new shelling in five communities of the region continues.

In Kherson region, 45 settlements remain partially without electricity.

In Lviv region, an underground low-pressure gas distribution pipeline was damaged due to violations of the rules of excavation. 98 subscribers were left without gas supply. The gas leak was repaired. The works are ongoing.

Import/export

Electricity imports amounted to 202 MWh. No exports were carried out.
