Moldova has uncovered a channel for illegal migration of Ukrainian men through the Transnistrian section of the border. A 23-year-old Moldovan who helped smuggle Ukrainians to the EU was detained.
Moldova has exposed a new network of illegal migration of men from Ukraine, whose members "helped" Ukrainian conscripts cross the Ukrainian-Moldovan border for 10 thousand US dollars. This was reported by NewsMaker, citing a statement by the Moldovan border police, according to UNN.

It is noted that the criminal group operated on the Transnistrian section of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border near the Ukrainian city of Kodyma in Odesa region and the Moldovan village of Plop.
Once in Moldova, the migrants were handed over to other members of the group, who, under the pretext of "legalizing" their stay, demanded additional remuneration and misled Ukrainian citizens. Later, the migrants were illegally trafficked to EU countries,
The agency added that on December 13, law enforcement officers detained a 23-year-old Moldovan citizen in Chisinau who is a member of a criminal group. He was detained for 72 hours and then placed under house arrest for 30 days.
