Russia struck the transport infrastructure of Odesa region and civilian vessels in the ports of Greater Odesa and the Danube region. As a result of the shelling, 10 people were injured, they are receiving medical assistance.
Today, civilian vessels in the ports of Greater Odesa and the Danube region, as well as the transport infrastructure of Odesa region, again came under attack by the Russian Federation. Ten people are known to have been injured, the Ministry for Restoration, Infrastructure and Transport reported on Monday, UNN writes.
Russia continues its targeted strikes on Ukraine's transport infrastructure, seaports and civilian fleet. Today, transport infrastructure facilities in Odesa region, as well as civilian vessels in the ports of Greater Odesa and the Danube region, again came under attack. As stated, all are receiving necessary medical assistance. The aftermath of the attack is being liquidated on site.
"The intensity of strikes on Ukrainian port infrastructure continues to grow. In the first days of August alone, Russia carried out: 5 attacks on seaport facilities; 3 attacks on civilian vessels in ports; 2 attacks on vessels that were in the Ukrainian Maritime Corridor," the ministry said.
In total, in July, the following were recorded: 67 attacks on seaport facilities; 35 attacks on civilian vessels in ports; 22 attacks on vessels in the Ukrainian Maritime Corridor
As noted, "Russia attacks not only vessels that are on voyages. Civilian vessels that, due to previous damage, remain at berths or anchorages and are not performing any cargo operations also come under attack. This indicates a targeted campaign to disrupt the operation of Ukrainian ports, intimidate international shipowners, and undermine confidence in the safety of civilian navigation."
"Systematic strikes on port infrastructure and the civilian fleet pose a threat not only to Ukraine. They directly affect the stability of international logistics, world trade, and global food security," the statement said.
