A tragic incident occurred at one of the oldest Polish mines in Poland: after a strong underground shock at a depth of 1200 meters, one miner died and another is being rescued.
According to the rescuers, after the rescue operation began, 76 miners were successfully evacuated from underground, but two remained trapped. One of them was found late in the evening, but when the 41-year-old miner was pulled out, doctors pronounced him dead. The deceased miner had worked in his specialty for 21 years. In addition, the whereabouts of the second miner are still unknown.

Of the 76 evacuated miners, 17 were taken to hospitals. Leszek Piotraszek, President of the Polish Mining Group, said that 8 of them have already been discharged, and one is likely to be discharged tomorrow.
