US First Lady Melania Trump has for the fourth time accelerated the return of Ukrainian children to their families – six underage Ukrainians currently residing in Russia will return to their families in Ukraine. Another child will be returned home later in April. This is stated in a White House message, writes UNN.
The reunification of children with their loved ones in this region of the world remains one of the most important global issues today. I encourage both sides to remain committed to continued cooperation, prioritizing the safety and well-being of children above this terrible war.
The seventh Ukrainian child will be brought home to family members later this month.
The White House noted that Melania Trump and her representative continue to cooperate with Russia and Ukraine to identify and reunite individuals displaced by the war.
