As a result of the morning strike by the Russian Federation on the south of the Odesa region, where a maternity ward came under attack, the medical facility's facade, doors, and over 30 windows were damaged, Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper reported on social media on Monday, UNN writes.

"This morning, the enemy launched another cynical strike on the civilian infrastructure of southern Odesa region. As a result of the attack, the maternity ward and administrative buildings of the hospital were damaged," Kiper reported.

As reported by the secretary of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City Council, Oleksandr Skalozub, "on the morning of June 1, another enemy strike was carried out on the territory of the (Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi) community. As a result of the attack, administrative buildings and a healthcare facility in the city sustained damage."

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, "the medical facility's facade, doors, and over 30 windows were damaged."

"There were 6 women in labor with newborns in the ward, and one woman was in the process of giving birth. Fortunately, the patients and staff were not injured," Kiper stated.

According to him, work is underway to eliminate the consequences.
