Kyiv • UNN
Economy Minister Sergiy Marchenko said that the tranche from the US will be enough until early September. The EU is also expected to receive €4.2 billion under the Ukraine Facility program.
The $3.9 billion tranche from the United States should be enough at least until the end of this month - early September. He also reminded that EUR 4.2 billion is expected from the EU under the Ukraine Facility program. This was announced by the Minister of Economy Sergiy Marchenko during a telethon, a correspondent of UNN reports.
Asked how long the first tranche of $3.9 billion would last, Marchenko said: "I hope that we will have enough of these funds at least until the end of this month - until the beginning of September. Moreover, due to the rather accelerated implementation of the Ukraine-EU Ukraine Facility Action Plan, we are now expecting to receive another EUR 4.2 billion from the EU. That is, these funds will be enough to avoid liquidity problems in August and September.
Marchenko also noted that Ukraine will receive the second installment of the $3.9 billion tranche from the United States at the end of October if all the conditions for such assistance are met.
