The Ministry of Justice is preparing a cassation appeal against the court decision that legalized the raider seizure of a part of the museum in Pyrohiv. The acting Minister of Culture stated that the data in the land cadastre was not true.

The Ministry of Justice is preparing a cassation appeal against the decision of the Northern Economic Court of Appeal, which effectively legalized the raider seizure of part of the territory and premises of the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine (Pyrohiv). This was reported by the acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy Rostyslav Karandeyev to UNN.

"The party representing the interests of the state in this process is the Ministry of Justice, and they were, accordingly, the plaintiff in the first instance... Now they are preparing and will file a cassation appeal (to the Supreme Court - ed.). We are, of course, working in partnership. Why the Ministry of Justice? Because we are talking about the state land cadastre. We are talking about the fact that the data in this cadastre, in our opinion, is currently untrue, and this mistake was used by the applicant for part of the land plot  of the museum. We believe that this was done intentionally," Karandeyev said.

He added that he is now waiting for the full court decision to be published, where it will be possible to analyze and understand the arguments that the court took into account.
