"Rossotrudnichestvo" with ANO "Eurasia" announced the opening of a "Russian House" in Togo as a pilot project of the network. CCD of the NSDC warns: this is a tool for disinformation about the war and recruitment into the RF army.

"Rossotrudnichestvo" together with ANO "Eurasia" announced the opening of a new "Russian House" in the Republic of Togo. This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (CCD), UNN informs.
Details
It is noted that the project is positioned as a humanitarian initiative for studying language and culture, which is to become a "pilot" for deploying a whole network of similar institutions around the world.
In fact, behind the "cultural diplomacy" lie other strategic goals of the Kremlin. Through such centers, the RF seeks to create the illusion of a "common historical experience" with African countries, exploiting anti-colonial rhetoric to justify its own aggressive policy
It is indicated that "Russian Houses" are key nodes for spreading disinformation about the war in Ukraine, promoting narratives about "traditional values," and discrediting Western countries on the continent. Currently, 24 "Russian Houses" operate in Africa.
"As the experience of other countries on the continent shows, such institutions often turn into centers for recruiting foreign citizens into the RF army under the guise of "employment" or "internships," - the CCD notes.
Recall
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha reacted to information regarding the recruitment by Russians of foreign citizens to participate in the war. In particular, he called on the governments of African countries to "resolutely counter illegal recruitment, rather than asking Moscow for services".
