This year, Kyiv region will receive UAH 700 million in subventions from the state budget to purchase housing for veterans and their families. In total, 300 veterans and their families will be able to receive financial compensation in Kyiv region. This was announced by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Ruslan Kravchenko on Facebook, UNN reports.

Details

According to the head of the RMA, the funds will be received by:

  • 208 people - people with war-related disabilities of groups I-II who defended Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as family members of deceased war veterans;
  • 80 persons - combatants and people with disabilities as a result of war of the third group, who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and are internally displaced persons;
  • 12 people - people with disabilities as a result of war of groups I-II from among combatants on the territory of other states, as well as family members of deceased veterans.

According to Kravchenko, the Kyiv RMA is already working on the distribution of the subvention among the local budgets of communities in the Kyiv region and further crediting compensation to special accounts of recipients.

Supporting our defenders is a priority for us. These people have gone through severe trials, sacrificed their health and even their lives. That is why they need our help. Many of them, when they return to peaceful life, do not have their own housing and do not have the means to buy it. Therefore, providing compensation for the purchase of housing can greatly facilitate their adaptation to civilian life, as well as their families. I am grateful to the government for allocating funds that will help solve the housing issues of our veterans
