According to Tasnim News, a state media agency in Iran affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, "Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani confirmed that the overall policies of Iran and the United States are consistent.
Mohajerani added that "the necessary measures were planned in advance," according to Tasnim.
Mohajerani also said that the U.S. presidential election "has nothing to do" with Iran and that "the general policy of the United States and Iran has not changed," Tasnim reports.
