Sports are one of the ways to restore our veterans and people with disabilities. And inclusive competitions like the Spartan PARA RACE clearly demonstrate how the power of a community of those with similar experiences motivates and is able to change lives. Our Center for interaction with military personnel and veterans within the framework of the MHP near program supports the development of adaptive sports in different cities and villages of the country. After all, our common goal is to create conditions and opportunities so that everyone can regain self – confidence, find the support of like-minded people and be inspired to new achievements

- says Maria Mevsha, head of the MHP Center for interaction with military personnel and veterans.

Spartan Race races are known for their accessibility to participants with different levels of physical fitness.

"This is the third event in 2024, and it is a charity event. We are glad that more than 30 adaptive athletes have joined the competition this time. Today we are creating a community where everyone can feel supported and show their best qualities," says Alexey Vovk, organizer of Spartan Race Ukraine.

A distance of 6.5 km with obstacles required endurance, strength and determination. Despite the rain and snow, the participants overcame the route at the finish line, they were waiting for warm hugs, awards and a delicious snack from the event partners.

"We came together with our brothers to show that obstacles are not a problem. This race is our way to convey to society that we are strong, and at the same time Share our experience in dealing with the challenges of life," says veteran Pavel.

The organizers say that such initiatives prove that sports can not only unite, but also be an effective tool for supporting those who defend our country or have returned from the front.
