The fire started in the village of Barvinok yesterday evening. Due to the rapid spread of the flames, additional forces from the city of Chop and the village of Serednye were brought in to extinguish it. During the night, the fire was localized over an area of 1,000 square meters.
Experts are currently determining the cause of the fire.
Due to the smoke, residents of nearby settlements are recommended to keep their windows closed until the fire is completely extinguished, the report says.
