In Wales, a man in a "Grim Reaper" costume was fined after a frightening stunt on a hospital roof

Twenty-six-year-old Leon Gillespie spent nearly an hour on the hospital roof in a black costume with a scythe, frightening staff. The court fined him £200 for disorderly conduct, as well as £250 for two thefts.
In Wales, a 26-year-old man was fined after spending nearly an hour on the roof of a hospital in a costume resembling the image of the "Grim Reaper," frightening patients and medical staff. New York Post reports on the incident, writes UNN.

The incident occurred on June 6 at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital. According to the publication, Leon Gillespie spent about 50 minutes on the roof of the building wearing a black hooded costume and holding an object resembling a scythe. He made strange noises and silently watched the doctors, patients, and staff below.
The man was eventually brought down from the roof and arrested. He was charged with causing a public nuisance on the premises of a hospital belonging to the United Kingdom's National Health Service (NHS). The court fined Gillespie £200.
The man insisted that he had not dressed up as "Death"
During the court hearing, Gillespie denied that his costume was meant to depict the "Grim Reaper"—a character symbolizing death. According to him, he was dressed not as "Death with a scythe," but as a bird.
It also emerged during the proceedings that, before the hospital incident, the man had committed two thefts. On March 26, he stole cat food and litter from a pet shop in the town of Llandudno, and on May 28, he took goods from a Sainsbury's supermarket in the same town.
For the two thefts, the court separately fined Gillespie £250.
