A resident of the village of Velykyi Oleksyn, Rivne region, was served a notice of suspicion of publicly desecrating the state flag of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation established that on November 6, around noon, a man came to the center of Rivne with a Ukrainian flag. At that time, an air raid alert was sounded. The man was wrapped in a red cloth and played the anthem of the aggressor country through a loudspeaker. The man's actions were filmed by passers-by.

He deliberately and intentionally threw the flag of Ukraine on the square in front of the shopping and entertainment center and began to wipe his feet on it

He explained his actions to law enforcement officers by saying that he did not recognize the blue and yellow flag as a national flag.

According to the decision of the Rivne City Court, the man is under house arrest.
