In the capital of the unrecognized Republic of Kosovo, a banner bearing the Ukrainian flag was removed from a local building. As Pristina Mayor Përparim Rama reported, the decision was related to the importance of respecting the country's sovereignty and statehood, UNN reports.

The state of Kosovo must be respected. When Kosovo is not respected, the capital, Pristina, responds! Our empathy and solidarity will always be with peoples facing war, violence and persecution. Because we, better than many others, know what it means to fight for freedom, dignity and the right to exist as a state
