Three children aged 3, 5, and 7 were poisoned by an unknown substance while their mother was doing household chores. Despite medical efforts, all the children died, and the police are investigating the circumstances of the tragedy.

It has been preliminarily established that in Odesa district, two girls aged 3 and 5 and their 7-year-old brother, while their mother was doing household chores, consumed an unknown substance that probably made them sick.
A 30-year-old woman found her children in serious condition and called an ambulance. Doctors diagnosed poisoning with an unknown substance and tried to save the children, but unfortunately, they died.
Investigators registered the incident in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations on the grounds of Article 115, Part 2, Article 2 with the note "accident", Article 166 (malicious failure to fulfill the duty of care for a child or a person under guardianship or custody), Part 1, Article 321. 1 of Art. 321 (illegal production, manufacture, purchase, transportation, shipment, storage for sale or sale of poisonous or potent substances or poisonous or potent medicines) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
A forensic laboratory and the management of the specialized department of the Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa region were sent to the scene.
Law enforcement officers are inspecting the scene and establishing all the circumstances of the children's deaths.
