A court has arrested a soldier for the murder of two fellow servicemen in the Mykolaiv region. The shooting occurred during a conflict following joint alcohol consumption.

A 35-year-old serviceman suspected of murdering two fellow soldiers in the Mykolaiv region has been taken into custody, UNN reports, citing the Office of the Prosecutor General.
At the request of prosecutors from the Mykolaiv Specialized Defense Prosecution of the Southern Region, the court remanded a 35-year-old serviceman into custody without the right to post bail. He is suspected of the intentional murder of two fellow servicemen in the Mykolaiv region (Clause 2, Part 1, Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Details
According to the investigation, the incident occurred on May 12, 2024, at approximately 01:00 while on duty. A conflict arose between the servicemen after consuming alcohol together.
During the argument, according to the investigation's version, the suspect took his assigned automatic weapon and fired shots toward two fellow servicemen. The 37-year-old and 58-year-old servicemen died on the spot from gunshot wounds.
On the same day, the suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigative actions are ongoing, and forensic examinations have been ordered.
