Police in Kyiv region have served a notice of suspicion to a 44-year-old resident of the village of Pustovarivka in the Skvyra community. During the conflict, the man stabbed the victim with a knife, for which he faces five to eight years in prison.
The incident took place in the corridor of a local dormitory. According to the investigation, the day before, the victim verbally abused the suspect's wife. The next day, the offended man went to the 58-year-old offender and stabbed him in the stomach during a quarrel. The victim was immediately hospitalized with a penetrating wound and underwent surgery.
Law enforcement officers detained the offender at the scene and placed him in a temporary detention center. Investigators served the man a notice of suspicion of committing intentional grievous bodily harm (Part 1 Art. 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court imposed on the detainee a measure of restraint in the form of detention. He faces five to eight years in prison for the crime.
