A 42-year-old man attacked a Kyiv resident with a knife and a grenade during repairs. The perpetrator tied the woman up and took money, jewelry, and a phone.

In Kyiv, a 75-year-old pensioner found a repairman through an advertisement - he attacked her with a knife and a grenade, tied her up, and robbed her; the attacker was detained and served with a notice of suspicion, the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office reported on Monday, UNN writes.

"A 42-year-old man has been notified of suspicion of committing a robbery attack on an elderly woman," the statement reads.
His actions are classified under Part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
"It was established that a 75-year-old Kyiv resident found a handyman through an advertisement to perform repairs in an apartment that had been flooded by neighbors. The suspect worked in the apartment for almost a month, and one day he attacked the woman with a knife and a grenade, tied her up, and forced her to hand over a mobile phone, jewelry, and money," the prosecutor's office reported.
The attacker was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
It turned out that he had spent 12 years in prison for intentional murder.
The man was notified of suspicion of committing a robbery for the purpose of seizing property, combined with the threat of violence dangerous to the life and health of the victim, motivated by personal gain.
A preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for the suspect.
The man faces a sentence of 8 to 15 years in prison for the crime committed.
