Due to the Russian attacks, Ukraine is experiencing problems with electricity again. Rescuers reminded how to safely use gasoline and diesel generators. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service, UNN reports .

It is noted that generators should be placed outside the building, preferably under a canopy or in a technical room with ventilation. The distance to walls, windows, and cars should be at least six meters. The generator must be installed on a flat, secure platform.
Safety rules:
- Start and use the generator according to the instructions.
- Before starting the generator, check the condition of the electrical wiring and repair any damage. The electrical elements of the generator must be grounded, and the generator power circuits must not come into contact with water or other objects.
- It is not advisable to turn on the generator during high humidity or in the rain.
- If fuel, oil, or strange noises are detected, turn off the generator and disconnect the power supply immediately.
The rescuers also added that when using generators, it is prohibited to: change the design of generators, place it in a closed room, smoke near the generator, open the tank lid or refuel during operation, mix different types of oil and fuel, and exceed the maximum allowable current of the generator output connector.
