Prime Minister Shmyhal reports that the integrity of Ukraine's energy system has been preserved despite numerous attacks by Russia. The government raised more than €1 billion for restoration and expanded electricity imports from the EU to 2.1 GW.

Despite dozens of Russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector, the country has withstood and preserved the integrity of the system. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting, UNN reports.

Despite dozens of Russian attacks on the energy sector, we have withstood and preserved the integrity of the system. We have launched a large-scale reconstruction campaign. The Ukrainian Energy Support Fund has attracted more than EUR 1 billion in contributions from partners. These funds are used to buy equipment and return light and heat to people's homes

- said Shmyhal.

Shmyhal noted that Ukraine has expanded its capacity to import electricity from Europe from 1.7 to 2.1 GW. This helps to balance the power system.

According to him, Ukraine has also introduced an energy support package for citizens and businesses. These include interest-free loans for individuals, loans for condominiums, housing cooperatives, small and medium-sized businesses, and preferential loans for large entrepreneurs.

"We are building decentralized energy as an important part of the post-war energy system," Shmyhal said.
