General Staff reported a change of command in the Kupyansk direction and logistics problems

In the Kupyansk direction, the command of the 14th separate mechanized brigade was changed, and the commander of the 10th army corps was demoted due to identified problems, including troop supply. At the same time, Russian strikes on crossings over the Oskil significantly complicated the logistics of the units. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, writes UNN.

Details

Due to the damage to the crossings, troops are supplied using watercraft and heavy UAVs. The command is strengthening air defense, anti-drone protection, and building up the electronic warfare system.

The General Staff stated that the previous command of the 14th separate mechanized brigade concealed the real state of affairs – some positions were lost, and problems with supplies, including food, were recorded.

Personnel changes

As a result of personnel decisions, the brigade commander was removed, and the commander of the 10th corps was demoted. Colonel Taras Maksimov was appointed as the new commander of the 14th separate mechanized brigade, and Brigadier General Artem Bohomolov took over the corps.

An official investigation is underway, the materials of which will be handed over to law enforcement agencies. At the instruction of the Commander-in-Chief, the provision of units at the front line is also being checked.

The new command is already taking measures to stabilize the situation – food has been delivered to the positions, and the evacuation of military personnel is planned under favorable conditions.
