The fire and explosion at a pharmacy on Trakt Hlynianskyi Street in Lviv were caused by a malfunction in the electrical system. This was reported on August 23 by the Lviv City Council, according to UNN.

The fire broke out on August 23 at around 7:00 a.m. SES personnel immediately went to the scene.
As a result of the fire, a man born in 2002 died. He was an employee of the pharmacy.
According to preliminary data, the fire may have started because of a malfunction in the external lighting (the sign). When the fire spread through the premises, it reached racks containing aerosols and alcohol-based products. These, in turn, began to explode.

On the morning of August 23, information emerged about an explosion in Lviv. It happened at around 7:00 a.m. on Trakt Hlynianskyi Street, near the "Gradus" store.
