Ebola outbreak in Africa could exceed the scale of the 2014 epidemic - WHO

In East Africa, 471 cases of Ebola and 82 deaths have been confirmed. Most of the patients are in Congo, while 19 fatalities have been recorded in neighboring Uganda.

As a result of a large-scale outbreak in East Africa, the number of confirmed Ebola cases is rising and could soon reach the 500 mark. This could become more extensive than the 2014 epidemic, UNN reports with reference to Swedenherald.

According to the latest data from the World Health Organization, as of today, a total of 471 infection cases have been confirmed in East Africa. 82 people have already died as a result of the disease.
The vast majority of cases have been recorded in Congo-Kinshasa. At the same time, 19 deaths have been confirmed in neighboring Uganda.
