Due to high air temperature, the road surface has deformed at the 125 km mark of the M-07 Kyiv-Kovel-Yahodyn highway. Traffic is complicated, and restrictions for oversized vehicles have been introduced.

The heat caused deformation of the road surface on the international highway M-07 Kyiv-Kovel-Yahodyn, known as "Varshava", in the Zhytomyr region, the regional patrol police reported on August 2, writes UNN.
At the 125th km of the M-07 Kyiv-Kovel-Yahodyn highway, near the village of Yosypivka, due to high air temperature, deformation and lifting of the road surface occurred
After the deformation, traffic on the highway was complicated in both directions: detour began along the roadside.
"Relevant services were called to the scene. Dear road users, please understand the temporary inconveniences, plan your routes in advance, taking into account the restrictions," the patrol police indicated the previous evening.
As reported on August 3 by the Service for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure in the Zhytomyr region, today, from 11:00 to 21:00, due to the heat, restrictions are in place for the movement of large vehicles in Zhytomyr region.
"The traffic ban is introduced to preserve the road surface, which softens under excessive heat and cannot maintain its shape under load, resulting in rutting and bulges," the service explained.
And they urged drivers to "comply as much as possible with the temporary traffic restrictions."
