The government allocates 1.65 billion hryvnias to purchase modern equipment - drone control simulators, laser shooting simulators, training ranges and tactical medicine kits - for the updated course "Defense of the Fatherland" in schools across the country to prepare children for the ongoing full-scale invasion.

The government has allocated UAH 1.65 billion for the purchase of modern equipment, including drone control simulators, laser shooting simulators, training ranges, and tactical medicine kits for the updated course "Defense of Ukraine" in schools, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said on Monday, UNN reports.

Details

"Drone control, training ranges and tactical medicine - the government is allocating UAH 1.65 billion to purchase modern equipment for the updated course "Defense of Ukraine," Fedorov wrote on Telegram.

In this context, he emphasized the continuation of the transformation of school education. "Training centers of the Defense of Ukraine will be established in cities. There will be one for 5-10 schools or a community. A well-equipped center will mean that children from different schools will have equal access to quality equipment and comfortable premises," said Fedorov.

According to him, modern equipment will be purchased for the centers through Prozorro Market, among other things:

  • interactive laser shooting simulators;
  • drone control simulations that include a drone, interactive glasses, a remote control, and other equipment;
  • training ranges and models;
  • first aid kits and cardiac resuscitation simulators, a defibrillator simulator, and turnstiles.

"The whole country is living in a full-scale invasion, where technology plays an important role, so children should be able to work with it from school. This is the basis of our secure future," he said.

He also reminded us that we are now comprehensively updating the approach to teaching the Defense of Ukraine in grades 10-11, which used to be the Defense of the Fatherland and Pre-Conscription Training. Along with the purchase of modern equipment, we are training trainers who will prepare teachers.
